Lorraine Michael is dedicated to providing beautiful antiques, hand painted furniture, antique linens, and one-of-a-kind decorative and gift items to make your home both interesting and beautiful.

I’ve always been fascinated with the Victorian Era; the sumptuous fabrics, ornate furniture and the many embellishments in the gracious rooms of Victorian homes hold a special appeal for me. It’s from this elaborate style that I draw my inspiration.

In our Antiques section, you might find architectural elements such as fireplace mantles, niches or ornate shelves; furniture including Victorian chairs and tables; or decorative items including lamps, compotes, and candleholders.

In Hand Painted Furniture, I have taken pieces that are no longer feasible to refurbish as antiques or the old-but-not-antique items and painted them to bring out their character. Here, you might find painted chairs, armoires, dressers, chests or hand painted windows.

Antique Linens will include pillows (handmade from antique linens or handkerchiefs), tablecloth and napkin sets, table runners with matching napkins, or miscellaneous linens.

Decorative and Gift Items might include lamps with shades that I have embellished, candleholders newly adorned with crystals, interesting plant stands, handpainted serving trays, stained glass, etc.
